The Magic of a Powder Day in a Ski Town
In early December, just before our ski hill opened for the season, the small town of Kimberley BC awoke to its biggest single-day snow accumulation in over two decades. There was only one thing to do: cancel all plans for the week, slap skins on the skis, and start climbing – and skiing. What followed was five magical days of friendship, fun and powder. In celebration, MEC ran a short story about the experience of waking up to a powder dump – which you can read here.
