100 km SUP Challenge

Six months ago, the phone rang, and Duff Gibson — Olympic Gold Medalist, Torino — was on the other end, asking questions about paddling Stand Up Paddle boards on the coast of Canada.  I told him I’d happily share all I knew about weather and wind patters, about currents and camping spots… if I coiled […]

En Route – Lost Coast Story

Last fall I got the chance to finally work with Kari Medig, a super talented photographer and great friend.  We spend five days ripping around the forests of NorCal on 29’er mountain bikes with Sacred Rides for a story on California’s enigmatic Lost Coast.  With Kari working the cameras, me on words, and both of […]

Dolphin’s Tooth has been shortlisted for the 2013 One Book One Kootenay Award.  You can catch a short author interview below (Note: we tried to make it fun.) At the same time, a friend pointed out that Sand Dance had […]

Bruce Kirkby is one of the most talented, respectful and genuinely honest speakers I have ever heard. His presentation related to everyone , and the response from employees was overwhelmingly positive. Saskatchewan Power Corporation

The response we received, in a word, was fantastic. The theme of our conference was “leadership” and your address provided exactly the right direction. It really set the day off on the right foot. On a personal level, I was totally impressed with how interested you were in speaking at our conference, how you worked to know our audience in advance and how professional and approachable you were throughout our dealings. It was indeed a pleasure. Ontario Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing
